The Ministry of Defence has begun testing a mobile control unit for drone units
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with a domestic manufacturer, has begun testing a command post equipped with unmanned systems. This post is designed to operate both in stationary mode and while in motion.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defence.
It is reported that among the Ministry of Defence’s requirements for the command post are maximum autonomy, the provision of modern communication means, and electronic warfare systems.
The new equipment model should ensure the command of unmanned system units under any weather conditions, both in stationary mode and while moving.
The cabin of the post will be equipped with automated workstations with an interactive panel. The commander will be able to quickly analyze the situation and make prompt decisions in managing the units, which will increase their operational efficiency.
A specialized off-road vehicle will serve as the base for this innovative development. The four-wheel-drive vehicle must provide sufficient maneuverability and allow the command post to move through rough terrain.
The First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Ivan Havrylyuk, noted that unmanned units have significantly expanded and require specialized combat management tools.
"Domestic arms manufacturers have proposed a technical solution to this need. The new equipment model will undergo testing and be evaluated by combat unit commanders. If the development meets the requirements, we will codify it and it can go into serial production. We must technologically surpass the enemy," he added.
