Syrskyi: Training and preparation for participation in combat operations will take 2 months

The Ukrainian military command is working to ensure that the overall preparation for participation in hostilities takes two months.

This is reported with reference to the Telegram channel of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"According to my decisions, we already have the first graduates of servicemen who have completed basic general military training (BGMT) within 1.5 months, instead of the previous training, which lasted 30 days," noted Syrskyi.

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU, the further basic course in the military unit lasts 5-14 days, but in the conditions of intensive hostilities, this requirement is not always met. In this regard, he emphasized the importance of ensuring the full 14-day adaptation period for recruits in brigades during the final annual meeting.

"Commanders must prepare the soldier as much as possible for the challenges of modern war to preserve him in battle," he added.

In particular, during the meeting, Syrskyi set tasks to improve the quality of training and increase it.
