The murder of the president of the Zaporizhzhya Boxing Federation: the identity of the killer has been established

The direct perpetrator of the contract murder of the Head of the Legal Support Department of Zaporizhzhya City Council, President of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Boxing Federation, Maksym Denshchyk, committed in the summer of 2024, was a 21-year-old native of Melitopol, Yevheniy Senin.

This is reported by an informed source to Dетектив-Info and indirectly confirmed by information published on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the details of the episode he is charged with, at the end of May 2024, Senin conducted reconnaissance near the house where Denshchik lived using means of covert observation. A week and a half later, he returned to Zaporizhzhya, where, at the now familiar location, he waited for the victim, followed him, and fired five shots from a firearm (two of which were fatal).

From court materials it is known: on November 22, 2024, the materials concerning Yevheniy Senin were separated from the case of the murder of the President of Zaporizhzhya FBU into a separate proceeding. During its investigation, law enforcement officers sent a request to Google to find out information that the alleged killer provided/used during registration and access to their accounts and email addresses. Simultaneously, they conducted activities to try to trace the young man’s location through the IP addresses he used to log into the "Diia" application.

About Senin himself, it is only known that he previously engaged in boxing professionally: in 2017, he won "silver" among juniors at the Zaporizhzhya region championship, and the following year, he became the winner of the open regional championship in the weight category up to 57 kg. Since the end of June last year, the dignitary has been wanted on suspicion of committing premeditated murder, ordered by prior conspiracy by a group of persons (pp. 11, 12, part 2, article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
