NRC: Occupiers have "legalized" repressions against Ukrainians in the occupied territories

In the occupied territories, Russia is intensifying repressions against Ukrainians who refuse to obtain Russian passports. A new "law" has been adopted there, allowing Russian police to break into people’s homes.

The "law" will come into effect on March 5 of this year. This was reported by the National Resistance Center.

"A new law allowing police to enter the dwellings of Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine has been adopted in Russia. It will come into effect as early as March 5 this year," the report states.

The intensification of repressions is presented under the guise of "migration control."

"The police, as part of the so-called state migration control, will have the right to access the housing and other premises where such ’foreigners’ actually reside. In reality, this refers to the ’migrants’ who have not exchanged their Ukrainian passports for Russian ones," the Center explained.

This is not the first step towards intensifying repressions against Ukrainians under occupation, made by the occupiers already this year. Since January 1, our compatriots who refused to change their citizenship to Russian, for example, have been deprived of the right to receive medications as representatives of a preferential category. This includes people with cardiovascular diseases, asthmatics, and diabetics. It is practically impossible to purchase the vital medicines they need in the occupied territories.
