In Poland, Ukrainian men have begun receiving fake draft notices

Ukrainian men in Poland have started receiving fake draft notices.

This is reported by the Polish Office for Foreigners, from whose name such letters are sent.

The letters claim that on a designated day, officials from the office will come to the person’s home to "escort them to a mobilization point in connection with the obligation to perform military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine." After this, the man needs to appear as summoned; otherwise, he may be arrested and handed over to Ukraine.

"In connection with reports of fake letters sent to Ukrainian citizens, the Office for Foreigners clarifies that it does not handle conscription for military service," states the USSC.
