Zelenskyy signed a law on tactical pre-hospital assistance for the military
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed Law No. 4068-IX, which regulates the provision of pre-medical care to military personnel, particularly in cases of injuries or wounds during combat operations.
This law introduces a new concept – "tactical pre-hospital care," which allows military personnel without medical education to provide necessary assistance on the battlefield. As a result, they will be able to perform medical procedures and use medications, significantly increasing the chances of saving lives at the frontline.
In particular, the signed law includes training military personnel in tactical skills for providing pre-medical assistance, including stopping bleeding, stabilizing the injured person’s condition, and transporting them to medical facilities. Additionally, the document clarifies the mechanism of interaction between military and medical units, which will facilitate a quicker response to critical situations in the combat zone.
The new regulation will ensure not only faster treatment but also better preparation of personnel to respond to emergencies in wartime conditions.
