In Ukraine, a Day of Army Aviation of the Armed Forces has been established

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree establishing the Day of Army Aviation of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Decree No. 17/2025 was published on the website of the Office of the Head of State on January 8.

This day will be celebrated annually in Ukraine on July 3.

The corresponding decision was made to honor the courage and heroism of the army aviation soldiers of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, demonstrated in the fight for the freedom, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as to establish modern military traditions.

The decree came into force on the day of its publication.

The army aviation of the Defence Forces of Ukraine is intended for fire support during the advance or counterattack of its ground units.
