New rules for Ukrainian drivers are being prepared, which may significantly affect their finances. Recently, members of parliament introduced bill №9564, which envisions large fines for violating vehicle noise regulations.

According to the document, for violating noise regulations, drivers will have to pay 17,000 UAH for the first offense. In the case of a repeat offense, the fine will increase to 34,000 UAH.

Moreover, drivers may not only be fined but also temporarily deprived of the right to drive a vehicle. The temporary driving ban can last from three to six months. However, in some cases, a repeat offense may be punished with just a fine, without additional sanctions.

The main aim of the new law is to reduce the noise level caused by drivers who install equipment to increase engine volume.

These unpleasant sounds not only disturb the peace of citizens but can also cause public discontent.

Especially in wartime, when engine noise can be perceived as a signal of approaching enemy drones, particularly "Shaheds".

The bill was added to the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada back in September, and deputies plan to consider it shortly. The introduction of new fines aims to protect public peace, especially under martial law conditions.
