Scandal in the center of Kyiv: a firearm was found on one of the young men

16-year-old Andriy Drahan, who, along with his friends, found himself in a high-profile scandal for singing Russian songs and flaunting weapons, had a pistol confiscated by law enforcement officers, and a criminal investigation has been initiated.

This is reported by Kyiv National Police.

"At the end of last week, a series of publications were spread on social media regarding the bold behavior of a group of young men who claimed to have blocked a road in the city center, listened to and sang along to Russian songs, and displayed weapons. After conducting an investigation, law enforcement officers identified all the participants who appeared in the video."

During searches conducted by law enforcement at the homes of the youths, including the one where Dragan resides, a pistol and ammunition were discovered. Later, an expert examination confirmed that the weapon is a firearm.

Investigators have informed the young man of the suspicion of illegal possession of firearms. The penalty under this article includes imprisonment for up to seven years.
