Ukraine received a new batch of military aid from Lithuania

At the end of last week, Lithuania delivered a new military aid package to Ukraine. It included drones, thermal imagers, and telescopic loaders.

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defence of Lithuania.

According to the ministry, the aid package included Lithuanian-made drones, thermal imagers, and five-ton telescopic loaders for the Ukrainian military.

"We cannot reduce our support for Ukraine, as ensuring Ukraine’s security means taking care of our own security. We have also removed bureaucratic barriers, and from now on, aid to Ukraine will arrive even faster," emphasized Lithuania’s Minister of National Defence, Dovile Šakaliene.

The Ministry of Defence noted that Lithuania plans to focus this year on supporting air defence systems, ammunition, drones, anti-drone measures, and supporting the Ukrainian defence industry through funding weapons manufactured in Ukraine.

The ministry calculated that since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military aid worth over 754 million euros. They also noted that Lithuania’s overall support for Ukraine is long-term and has exceeded 1.5 billion euros.
