Zelenskyy: Ukraine is ready to export Azerbaijani gas

Ukraine is ready to transport Azerbaijani gas instead of Russian gas: Zelenskyy stated that the contract with Russia will not be renewed.

Ukraine will not sign a new contract for the transit of Russian gas (the current contract will end on January 1, 2025). However, if the residents of Slovakia, the unrecognized Transnistria, etc., need gas transit through Ukraine to meet their needs, such transit can take place. Nevertheless, Ukraine is ready to transport Azerbaijani gas instead of Russian gas.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on January 25, 2025. According to him, he had a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is ready to ensure the transit of Azerbaijani gas to those countries that need it.
