The conflict between Klychko and Tkachenko is escalating: accusations of "shadow schemes" with the budget have begun

The confrontation between Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko and the new head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Oleksandr Tkachenko, is gaining momentum.

Tkachenko claims that "shadow schemes" are still operating in the capital, causing the city to lose significant revenues. In response, he initiated the creation of a working group called "Transparency and Accountability." However, according to him, Klychko’s team is delaying the launch of this group, using formal grounds.

Tkachenko also emphasized that at the end of 2023, approximately 14 billion hryvnias remained unused in Kyiv’s budget, which could have been directed towards addressing the city’s critical needs.
