President Zelenskyy announced a meeting of the National Security and Defence Council

He announced this during an evening address.

Zelenskyy stated that he had a meeting today with the Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi. It was about army modernization.

The president also announced a meeting of the NSDC.

"We discussed approaches to appointing corps commanders today: they must be the most trained, most promising officers with combat experience and modern thinking. The army must be modern. And most importantly, it should value people. Relevant decisions will be made public. And one more thing. I have scheduled a meeting of the NSDC for tomorrow," Zelenskyy said.

The National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC) is a coordinating body under the President of Ukraine, which deals with national security, defence, and strategic planning of state policy in these areas. It analyzes internal and external threats, develops recommendations to neutralize them, coordinates the activities of security structures, and controls the implementation of measures aimed at ensuring the security of the state.

The NSDC is headed by the President of Ukraine, and its members include key officials, including the Prime Minister, the Ministers of Defence and Internal Affairs, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, and leaders of other state authorities.
