The Verkhovna Rada opened a historic session but failed to adopt the work plan
The Verkhovna Rada commenced the 13th session of the ninth convocation, but the members of parliament lacked the votes to approve the agenda of the session and the legislative work plan.
This was reported by the "Golos" faction deputy, Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram
"For the first time in history, the 13th session of parliament was opened. 226 deputies registered."
The first issues considered in the session hall did not receive support. These pertain to the draft resolution on the legislative work plan of the parliament for 2025 and the agenda of the thirteenth session of the parliament of the ninth convocation.
209 and 215 votes, respectively.
However, votes were found for the ratification of the Framework Agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom on official credit support for the development of Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
Due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in February 2024, the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation is working the longest in history.
