The new director of the "Service Center" of the Odesa City Council, Zurab Shonia, while working as the head of the "Vuzivskyi" Housing and Communal Service, illegally appointed his son’s daughter-in-law, Nana Tsomaya, first as a master and then as an accountant of the enterprise. At the same time, the woman did not submit a declaration after 2017, although she was required to do so.

From 2014 to 2020, Zurab Shonia was the director of "Vuzivskyi" utility company. During his leadership, his son’s wife, Zviadi Shonia, was employed at the enterprise. This is a conflict of interest.

At that time, Zurab Shonia (junior) was an official at the "City Greenery" utility company, and now he heads the enterprise as acting manager. Another son is hiding from the court for the death of an opponent after severe bodily harm while serving in the Territorial Center for Recruitment (TRC), as previously reported by the editorial team.

Nana Tsomaya’s husband, Zviadi Shonia, was a master at the "Odesa Electrotechnical Operation and Installation Enterprise" until 2022. According to our sources, he was appointed to the position fictitiously and did not work in his specialty.

In the declarations submitted to the NACP by Zviadi Shonia, there are many discrepancies. For example, with low incomes or even with their official absence, the master declared a Chevrolet Volt (2012) and a Nissan Rogue (2015) belonging to his wife. The cars were purchased in 2020, but the official did not indicate their value.

Additionally, Zviadi Shonia did not declare a Mercedes that the family used. It is seen in photos on his account, and was also at the disposal of his wife.

Moreover, Zviadi Shonia did not indicate the value of a house with an area of 69 square meters acquired in 2017. The following year, he stated that his wife received a house with an area of 213.3 square meters in March. Again, the value of the property was not specified. Official family incomes did not allow for such an acquisition.

Currently, Zurab Shonia (senior) heads the "Service Center" utility company, and his son Zurab leads the "City Greenery" utility company of the Odesa City Council. Millions of taxpayers’ hryvnias pass through these enterprises every month.
