The invaders use strike drones to attack civilian targets, but Ukrainian electronic warfare systems effectively counter them.

Russian forces continue to strike civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhya and the region using "Molniya" strike drones.

This was reported by journalists from Suspilne.

It is noted that Russian invaders have already used this type of UAV six times against the civilian population. "Molniya 1" has a flight range of over 30 km and can carry up to 3 kg of payload.

A military serviceman with the call sign "Prime" stated that "Molniya" is similar to FPV drones, but has a longer flight duration due to gliding.

“It is a single-engine airplane-type aircraft equipped with ammunition similar to those used on FPVs. These are RPG rounds or improvised explosive devices. There’s plastic explosive with pellets and everything else. It’s almost silent. It can glide. Thanks to being an aircraft, it can catch an air cushion and glide for a long time,” the serviceman noted.

According to him, Russian forces also use "Molniya 2," equipped with an automatic target guidance system.

“It locks onto a target, hits, and destroys. So far, thank God, our electronic warfare systems are working excellently, jamming them,” added "Prime."

He also reported that the invaders launch "Molniyas" from the roofs of high-rise buildings, allowing them to increase the payload weight.

Although this UAV is quite primitive, "Molniya" poses a serious threat to the civilian population, as it is used for attacks on residential buildings and vehicles.
