Ukraine’s allies have two instruments to pressure Russia. This opinion was expressed by the advisor to the Head of the President’s Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, to "24 Kanal".

“The first instrument is economic pressure. An oil embargo is the simplest and fairly quick way. Other sanctions are a rather gradual process that can stretch over months or years. An oil embargo will ultimately deprive Russia of revenues to finance recruitment programs, that is, the gathering of manpower, as they fight with manpower,” Podolyak noted.

He added that the second instrument is military. Specifically, it involves increasing missile and drone strikes on Russian territory.

“Ukraine must have a substantial number of drones to use in replacing aviation on the front line. There must be so many that they can destroy and destroy again. These instruments are well-developed and sufficiently frighten Russia. We need not just a ceasefire on Russia’s terms. We need a ceasefire on relatively fair terms, so that in the future we can increase our demands in terms of ending the war,” Podolyak added.
