Air defence is operating in the capital

Late in the evening of February 23, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv and several regions. The cause of the alert was enemy drones.

Explosions are heard in Kyiv. Air defence is responding to the enemy drones.

The alert signal in the capital sounded at 22:33. At the same time, it became known what the reason was.

"An air raid alert is sounding in Kyiv due to the threat of enemy strike drones. We ask Kyiv residents to proceed to shelters and remain there until the end of the air raid alert," the message states.

Additionally, the military warned that enemy UAVs are heading toward Kyiv.

Furthermore, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded Russian strike drones today in the Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kyiv, and Poltava regions.
