As a result of the shelling in the Kyiv region, the prominent Ukrainian surgeon Pavlo Ivanchov was killed

"Last night, as a result of Russian aggression, Pavlo Ivanchov – a prominent Ukrainian scientist, head of the clinical base, and responsible for therapeutic work in the Surgery Department No. 3 of the Kyiv City Clinical Emergency Hospital – tragically died," the report states.

It is noted that Pavlo Ivanchov became a co-author of nearly 200 scientific works, received 21 patents for inventions, and wrote a textbook, a scientific manual, and a monograph. His contribution to oncology-driven surgery is invaluable.

"I do not know how many lives he saved, but undoubtedly among them are the lives of my uncle and aunt. He performed stomach surgeries on both of them. In a few weeks, my father was supposed to be on his operating table. I understand that every life is invaluable, but Ivanchov’s work affected the lives of many patients – both those he has already saved and those who are yet to receive diagnoses. Eternal memory and respect to the person who dedicated his life to saving others," added Lisnytsia.
