Scandal in Chernivtsi Regional State Administration: Alyona Atamanyuk submitted a resignation letter

The deputy head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration, Alyona Atamanyuk, was accused of refusing to sit next to a veteran. She wrote a resignation letter and announced it on Facebook.

Earlier, a screenshot of Atamanyuk’s alleged conversation with a subordinate appeared online, in which she stated that she did not want to sit next to a veteran because he was "not her equal."

Following the incident, Atamanyuk claimed that the screenshot of the conversation was fake. However, she later announced that she had submitted her resignation.

"I don’t want this whole situation, which has caused such a massive outcry, to undermine social cohesion and trust in all the significant efforts of Bukovyna and the regional military administration," the official explained.

The head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Zaparyanyuk, has already reported that he signed her resignation letter.
