The Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched a new offensive in the Pokrovsk direction

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Ukrainian Defence Forces have achieved significant tactical successes in several directions simultaneously.

This was reported by military-political analyst Dmytro Snyehirov on the air of Free.dom.

"Firstly, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have established full control over the settlement of Kotlyne. It covers the exit to a key logistics route for the Ukrainian Defence Forces – the Pokrovsk-Dnipro highway. This is a significant tactical success. The second direction is the other flank of the Pokrovsk front – the advancement of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in the area of the settlement of Shevchenko. Significant expansion of the zone of presence," he noted.

According to him, Russian media indicate that the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Shevchenko area is a new stage of Mykhailo Drapatyi’s counteroffensive.

"They also emphasize the fierce nature of the clashes and the significant successes of the Ukrainian Defence Forces," the analyst noted.

Snyehirov also added that there is currently tactical initiative from the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Pokrovsk direction.

"We have managed not only to stabilize but also to seize the tactical initiative from the Russian occupiers. The further advancement of the occupying forces into Ukrainian territory, particularly towards the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region, has been completely stopped. Moreover, the occupiers are forced to acknowledge heavy losses in personnel and equipment," he concluded.
