"White Angels" evacuate people and animals from the dangerous village of Myropillya in Sumy region
The police special unit "White Angel" continues the evacuation of residents and their animals from the border village of Myropillya in the Sumy region. On March 15, four people and a cat were evacuated, and the evacuation continues despite constant shelling and an increase in airstrikes.
"There are shellings here, and the population has started to seek help from the ’White Angels.’ Recently, the number of airstrikes has increased, and they started hitting with GABs," said police officer Serhiy Tarasenko. According to him, often several others must be evacuated along with one person because people seek help, unable to leave their homes due to danger.
Valentyna Lada took her cat Tymofiy with her, as she couldn’t leave him for her own safety. "I’m used to him; I can’t leave him," the woman said.
In the meantime, other residents of the village are also leaving their damaged homes, noting that the loss of housing is becoming too difficult for them. People are evacuated to Sumy, where they are met by employees of the Myropillya village council, and then they will be placed in locations for internally displaced persons or handed over to relatives.
The evacuation continues, and the "White Angels" keep rescuing people under constant danger.
