The occupiers shelled Pokrovsk: two civilians were killed

This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

"On March 22, 2025, at 13:30, the aggressor state’s troops shelled Pokrovsk again. A 41-year-old man died on the street in one of the residential neighborhoods," the statement reads.

A 66-year-old local resident, who was near the house, was also injured. She died from her injuries.

"The injuries she sustained were incompatible with life - the woman died during the evacuation from the scene," added the prosecutor’s office.

Law enforcement noted that the type of weapon used by the Russians to attack the city is being established.

Currently, under the procedural guidance of the Pokrovsk District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in criminal proceedings regarding the fact of a war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
