Budanov explained why not all the truth about the war is disclosed

Ukrainians must be ready to learn the truth about the war. However, this should happen over time, as knowing the whole truth now is unnecessary.

This was stated by the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov in an interview.

"Society must be ready to learn the truth, probably over time. During the war, knowing the whole truth, I think, is unnecessary. Otherwise, people might have different opinions," Budanov said.

At the same time, he emphasized that it is not about a distorted reality or anything like that. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate means people’s perception of the harsh truth.

"I’m not saying that reality is distorted or something like that. No. It’s just that not everyone’s consciousness is adapted to perceive the harsh truth. It’s not worth, as they say, testing people with this," he concluded.
