In the frontline city of Pokrovsk, there are still 2,228 people remaining

This was stated by the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Vadym Filashkin, during a television broadcast.

“The most difficult situation is in the city of Pokrovsk. The enemy shells every day not only with FPV drones but also with guided aerial bombs, barrel artillery, practically with all the weapons that the occupier has… There are 3,826 people remaining in the Pokrovsk community. And 2,228 people remain in the city itself,” said the head of the region.

He confirmed that there have been cases in the city where two deceased individuals were independently buried by neighbors in the yards of residential buildings, although the municipal ritual service in Pokrovsk is still functional.

“Yes, these cases occurred - there are currently two such burials, the neighbors did not contact either the authorities or the police units, which are on site and performing their direct duties. Unfortunately, they buried their neighbors on their own,” noted Filashkin.

He added that in the Pokrovsk community, there is a general practitioner available, municipal services, including the Pokrovsk rescue service, meaning, “we are helping in the city with everything we can.”

Filashkin also emphasized that at the moment, “it is very difficult to bring a humanitarian charity organization into the city.”
