Attempting to fully capture the city: Russian Armed Forces have intensified assaults on Toretsk

Russian forces in the Donetsk region have increased activity and intensified their advance on the city of Toretsk, seeking to fully capture it.

This was reported by Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Serhiy Tsekhotskyi.

He clarified:

"The situation in the area of Toretsk is difficult. There are street fights. Our troops are in the city, but the enemy forces outnumber us. Russian troops are trying to probe our weak spots and are increasing their presence."

According to Tsekhotskyi, the activation of the Russian army is also observed in the area of Kostyantynivka:

"The enemy uses frankly terrorist methods of warfare. We can openly say that they drop munitions from drones that explode after a certain time. This shows the behavior of Putin’s troops that fight against the civilian population."

Nevertheless, Tsekhotskyi expressed the opinion that the occupiers do not have enough forces for an offensive along the entire front line:

"However, the Russians will attempt. We see that recently they continue to gain activity on the Pokrovsk direction. On the Toretsk direction, they also exert strong pressure, trying to achieve success and raise their tricolor in Toretsk. They are concentrating forces on Sumy and Kharkiv directions as well. Ukrainian forces, for their part, are preparing on all fronts, starting from the Belarusian direction."
