Emergency rescue operations after the shelling of Kharkiv have been completed: a kitten was rescued from under the rubble

As of 21:30, emergency rescue operations in Kharkiv were completed after the missile strike carried out by the Russian Federation on Friday, as reported on the Telegram channel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).

As a result of the shelling, one person was killed, and 114 were injured, including nine children.

"SES workers, together with municipal services of the city, conducted operations to eliminate the consequences of the shelling. 45 cubic meters of construction debris were removed. Emergency structures were dismantled from three apartment buildings and an educational institution. SES psychologists provided assistance to 150 people," the report states.

In Kharkiv, rescuers retrieved a small kitten from the rubble of a building.

Fortunately, the animal only experienced fright.

"Its tender heart endured there where concrete could not," said the SES.

The head of the Investigative Department of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, Serhiy Bolvinov, reported that a 9M727 missile, an analogue of the American Tomahawk, struck Kharkiv. He noted that this missile can fly low to the ground and avoid air defense systems.

Moreover, this missile is maneuverable and equipped with stealth technology – it is barely visible to radars.

If the missile had hit the building directly, it would have completely collapsed. This is the kind of weapon Russians use against ordinary residential buildings early in the morning when people are still asleep,
added Bolvinov.

He noted that the enemy used three such missiles from the Iskander-K complex on the city. The strikes were made on a civilian enterprise – two workshops were destroyed. In one, women’s jackets were sewn, and in the other, tubes for toothpaste, shampoos, and cosmetic cases were produced. "Not a single military object," concluded Bolvinov.
