Zelenskyy expressed congratulations to the Ukrainian border guards and emphasized their bravery

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy solemnly congratulated the servicemen of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on their professional holiday. He expressed gratitude for their dedication, courage, and professionalism.

The head of state wrote about this in his Telegram channel. At this time, when the country is fighting for its independence, border guards are the first to meet the enemy at the border, detecting saboteurs, stopping attacks, and shooting down drones.

Zelenskyy emphasized that border guards not only destroy the enemy but also protect the lives of Ukrainians, ensuring the state’s security.

"Every year on this day, we thank our border guards for their dedication and strength, for their professionalism and bravery. The servicemen of the State Border Guard Service hold the state border, being the first to meet the enemy. They detect saboteurs. They stop attacks and shoot down drones. They fight in the hottest spots on the front line together with our Defence Forces. They protect border communities from shelling and assaults. They destroy the enemy and protect the lives of Ukrainians," the message reads.

He expressed gratitude to the warriors of the State Border Guard Service.

"Thank you to all the warriors of the State Border Guard Service for defending Ukraine. We are proud of you. Thank you for your service! Glory to Ukraine!" the president concluded.

Zelenskyy also awarded state honors to border guard warriors on the occasion of their professional day. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the contribution of border guards to the common cause of defending Ukraine. According to him, thousands of fighters stand daily in defense of our border along with other units of the Defence and Security Forces, holding the front and counteracting enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

He emphasized that Ukrainian border guards control the situation near the state border and monitor the movements of Russian troops. Zelenskyy particularly honored the intelligence of the State Border Guard Service, the effective work of drone operators, and the coordinated actions of combat brigades — "Vengeance," "Outpost," "Steel Border," "Temper," and the "DOZOR" unit.

Special thanks were given to the Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Kherson border detachments, Maritime Guard units, as well as the rapid reaction command posts of the Lviv, Zhytomyr, Chop, Izmail, Volyn, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovsk detachments.
