Shmyhal: The Subsoil Agreement covers the borders of Ukraine as of 1991

The agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the USA on economic partnership and the creation of an investment fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine (the mineral resources agreement) covers the entire territory of Ukraine as defined by the 1991 borders.

"It covers all regions, certainly the entire territory defined by the 1991 borders," he answered when questioned about the parts of the territory where the mineral resources agreement will be in effect.

Shmyhal pointed out that the annex to the agreement specifies an exclusive list of mineral resources that are planned to be extracted.
