In the Odesa region, a woman killed her nine-month-old daughter: she strangled her because the baby was crying

In one of the villages of the Yaskivska community in the Odesa region, a woman strangled her nine-month-old daughter due to crying.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region.

The incident occurred on the night of May 3. By morning, the 43-year-old woman reported to the police about her daughter’s death and stated that the child had died unexpectedly.

However, the police found out that the mother, in a state of nervous breakdown due to the child’s crying, inflicted bodily injuries on her. Preliminary findings indicate that the child’s death resulted from asphyxia (suffocation). The exact cause will be determined by a forensic medical examination.

The suspect has been detained, and the issue of charging her with the intentional murder of a minor child is being considered. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to 15 years or life imprisonment.
