The Ukrainian forces did not receive orders to open fire exclusively in response during the Russian ceasefire period, reported Vladyslav Voloshyn, a representative of the Southern Defence Forces.

“There were no commands regarding returning fire. Everyone makes decisions based on the current situation and operational environment. No such orders were received,” he noted.
