Zelenskyy confirmed participation in negotiations in Turkey

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, confirmed that he will come to Turkey to participate in negotiations with Russia.

In his address, he responded to the words of Donald Trump, who suggested the possibility of coming to Istanbul, and expressed support for the idea of direct negotiations with Vladimir Putin.

«I just heard President Trump’s statement. Very important words.

I supported Donald Trump with the idea of a full and unconditional ceasefire – long enough to give diplomacy a foundation. And we want this, we are ready to ensure silence on our part.

I supported President Trump with the idea of direct negotiations with Putin. I openly said I am ready for the meeting. I will be in Turkey. I hope the Russians will not avoid this meeting.

And, of course, we all in Ukraine would like President Trump to be there with us – at this meeting in Turkey. This is the right idea. We can change a lot. President Erdogan can truly host a meeting at the highest level. Thank you to everyone who is helping,» Zelenskyy wrote.
