In the Donetsk region, the forced evacuation zone has been expanded
In the Donetsk region, local authorities have expanded the evacuation zone for families with children. This particularly concerns the Druzhkivka and Lyman communities.
This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, during a television marathon.
"It was decided to expand the evacuation not only from the Druzhkivka community, which includes Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, but also from the Lyman community and many other communities that are close to the front line and are subjected to enemy shelling almost daily. Why was this decision made? Because many people live there, and in some settlements, there are children," emphasized Filashkin.
According to him, the humanitarian situation in the border communities is extremely difficult. Konstantynivka, Myrnohrad, Druzhkivka, Pokrovsk, and other settlements near the front line are under constant shelling.
"A decision was made to expand the zone of mandatory evacuation for families with children: in Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka alone, about 40 children remain now. The situation in the region is extremely serious — in just one day, the enemy shelled the region’s settlements 2,631 times," added the head of the Regional Military Administration.
He added that the "White Angels" police units and the State Emergency Service (SES) contractors "Phoenix" are helping with the evacuation. In one day, 240 people and 45 children were evacuated from cities close to the front line.
