The employee of the Territorial Recruitment Center who assaulted a Kharkiv teacher has been suspended from service: the investigation continues

In Kharkiv, an employee of the territorial recruitment center (TRC), who was involved in an incident of assaulting a teacher, has been temporarily suspended from duties, and his actions have been qualified as hooliganism by the police.

This was reported by the spokesperson of the Kharkiv regional TRC and SS, Lilya Rodina.

According to her, a service investigation has been appointed for the serviceman, which is currently ongoing. He no longer performs the duties of notifying citizens.

«We condemn the behavior of the serviceman, this should not happen — no matter what occurs or what was said to him. We also understand that he is a soldier from the front lines, and he would not have done this for no reason. Although this, of course, is not normal», — stated Rodina.

She also confirmed that the serviceman has the status of a combat participant (SCP).

In turn, lawyer Roman Lykhachov, commenting on the situation, drew attention to the lenient legal qualification of the incident made by the police. He suggests that due to this, the serviceman may avoid the punishment expected by the public.

The incident caused a wide resonance in social media and the mass media. The public demands a transparent investigation and fair punishment, regardless of the combat status of the individual involved.
