The mayor of Truskavets is being investigated for possible illegal enrichment
The mayor of Truskavets, Andriy Kulchynskyi, has found himself at the center of an investigation regarding possible illegal enrichment — law enforcement officers are examining the circumstances under which he and his family acquired real estate valued at approximately 9.84 million hryvnias.
Essence of suspicions
The investigation believes that Kulchynskyi organized a scheme to acquire assets, the value of which significantly exceeds his legitimate income. The matter concerns eight apartments and four non-residential premises in Truskavets, which, according to the investigation, were registered to him, his wife Nataliia, and daughter Ustyna during the years 2024-2025.
Imbalance in value
The declared value of this property is over 1.8 million UAH, however, according to market estimates, the sum is almost 10 million UAH.
Enrichment scheme
Investigators believe that the official abused his official powers, opened bank accounts to receive funds in non-cash form, then converted them into cash, distributed them among members of the criminal group, and legalized them through property acquisition.
Mayor’s position
Kulchynskyi denies the accusations and claims that no new real estate has been purchased. According to him, it is merely about the re-registration of shares in already existing apartments that were held in joint ownership with his wife. He allegedly transferred shares to his daughter, and the changes were officially declared as required by law.
Currently, checks and investigative actions are ongoing, and final conclusions regarding the legality of the property acquisition have not yet been announced.
