The Pope has not yet made a decision regarding the visit to Kyiv, — Vatican Secretary of State

Pope Leo XIV currently does not plan a trip to Kyiv, stated Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, commenting on the invitation previously extended by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to Parolin, the pontiff is carefully considering the proposal, but a final decision has not yet been made.

«I don’t think even he himself would say "yes" or "no" at this time», — noted the Secretary of State.

The Vatican has not yet provided specific timelines for a potential visit. It is expected that the Pope’s decision will depend on the further development of the situation on the front and security conditions.
