Head of pediatrics in Odesa admitted to bribery and received a fine

Head of Pediatric Department No. 2 of the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise "Children’s City Clinical Hospital No. 3" in Odesa, Nataliya Zaltsman, admitted guilt in demanding a bribe.

According to the verdict of Primorsky District Court, Zaltsman, who assumed the position of Head in May 2024, demanded $500 in October for the fictitious hospitalization of a citizen’s children and the processing of documents confirming their inpatient treatment. Later, the amount was reduced to $400.

On November 13, the "clients" arrived at the hospital, where the fictitious hospitalization was arranged, and the next day the pediatrician received the bribe and was detained by law enforcement.

The woman fully admitted her guilt, sincerely repented, and confirmed all the facts. Considering the mitigating circumstances, the court fined her 25,500 hryvnias and prohibited her from holding managerial positions for one year without isolation from society.
