The largest prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia will last for three days, — media

The prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia, which will be the largest since the beginning of the full-scale war, is scheduled to begin on May 23 and last for three days — until May 25 inclusive.

This was reported by the media with reference to a source involved in the organization of the process.

The duration of the exchange is explained by the large number of prisoners of war. According to the information, the exchange is based on the formula «1000 for 1000», which the parties agreed upon during negotiations in Istanbul on May 16 — these are the first direct talks on this issue in three years.

At the same time, the public initiative «Our Exit» notes that the final lists for the exchange have not yet been agreed upon, and the information about the allegedly planned exchange on May 21 does not correspond to reality.

There is no official confirmation from the Ukrainian authorities at the time of publication.
