Shmyhal: Ukraine and the IMF have reached an agreement on the next tranche
Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund have reached a staff-level agreement on the eighth review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program, which provides for Ukraine to receive a tranche of approximately $500 million.
This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram.
"We will be able to receive the next tranche of about half a billion dollars after the review is approved by the IMF Executive Board, expected within a month. Thus, the total disbursements under the program will exceed $10 billion," Shmyhal noted.
He emphasized that according to IMF assessments, despite the challenges of the war, Ukraine’s economy remains strong, and the government continues to implement necessary changes and reforms.
"I thank the teams of the government and the NBU for their quality work, and the IMF for their support and reliable partnership. The EFF program helps us maintain economic stability in difficult conditions," Shmyhal stressed.
