In Odesa, a large network of illegal casinos worth millions of hryvnias was uncovered
Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Odesa region have shut down the operations of 15 illegal gambling halls that were operating without licenses in different districts of the city.
The gaming establishments were hidden on the first floors of multi-storey buildings without signs, legal entity registration, and tax payments. Entry was controlled via video surveillance, and access was granted only to "verified" clients after identification through special databases.
During 27 searches, law enforcement officers seized computers, mobile phones, peripheral equipment, cash, shadow accounting records, and promotional materials.
Property valued at over 18.9 million hryvnias has been seized. The investigation is ongoing.
