A deputy from Kharkiv suggested "publicly executing draft evaders": the network reacted with outrage

Kharkiv City Council member Iryna Honcharova sparked a wave of outrage on social media after her comment on Facebook, in which she called the "execution of a few draft dodgers" an "attractive idea".

A screenshot of her statement circulated in local Telegram channels.

Other Facebook users sharply criticized Honcharova’s statement. One of them even wrote that they saved the screenshot to apply for political asylum in the USA.

This scandal occurred amid escalating conflicts between citizens and TRC representatives. Calls for physical punishment — both against draft dodgers and military commissioners — are increasingly heard online.
