Trump commented on the possibility of further support for Ukraine

He responded this way on Thursday when asked whether his administration would continue to support Ukraine.

“I am with Ukraine. We just signed a major deal with Ukraine regarding rare-earth elements, and we wanted – you know what I’m for? I’m for stopping the killings. That’s actually what I’m for,” stated the US President during a meeting in the Oval Office with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

Trump reiterated that Russia’s war against Ukraine should never have started.

He also noted that besides the loss of lives, the war is also destroying Ukrainian culture.

“You know, Ukraine had the most beautiful towers. They call them towers, small towers, beautiful towers, the most beautiful in the world. They are all now lying around, shattered into pieces,” the head of the White House remarked.

He called these “horrible” things and emphasized that he wants the war to stop.
