General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: The plant manufacturing antennas for "Shaheds" has been struck in Cheboksary

Ukrainian defence forces struck a Russian defence industry facility where antennas for "Shaheds" were produced.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"In order to reduce the enemy’s capability of producing aerial attack means, on the night of June 9, units of the Drone Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other parts of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, struck the facilities of JSC ’VNIIER-Progress’ LLC ’ABS Electro’, located in the city of Cheboksary in the Chuvash Republic, Russian Federation.

This is a facility of the Russian military-industrial complex that produces navigation equipment," the report stated.

It is noted that the enterprise provides the production of adaptive antennas "Kometa", which are used, in particular, in strike UAVs of the "Shahed" type, unified planning and correction modules (UPCM) for guided aerial bombs (GAB), and other high-precision weapons.

At this moment, the facility has been confirmed hit by at least two UAVs and a large-scale fire ensued. The results of the strike are being clarified.
