As he noted, at the meeting they "discussed the protection of our citizens, primarily the acquisition of American air defense systems to protect our cities, our population, churches, and infrastructure."

"Ukraine is ready to acquire this equipment and support American arms manufacturers. Europe can provide assistance. The possibility of joint drone production was also discussed. We can strengthen each other," Zelenskyy reported.

He also told Trump "about how the technical team’s meetings in Istanbul went, as well as the processes of exchanging prisoners and the deceased."

"Discussed the situations on the battlefield. Putin is undoubtedly not achieving victory. Presented the president with factual information about what is really happening on the ground," Zelenskyy added.
