The Security Service of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated two Russian SU-34 aircraft at the "Marinovka" airfield in the Volgograd region, and two more were damaged.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine carried out a joint special operation, resulting in the destruction of two Russian fighter-bombers SU-34 at the "Marinovka" airfield, with two more damaged.
The enemy actively uses these multifunctional fighters on the front line for bombings, including the use of guided aviation bombs.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the Russian fighters were struck with the help of long-range drones. As a result of the attack, a fire also broke out in the technical-operational part of the enemy airfield, which is critically important infrastructure of the military facility.
It is worth noting that this is where the enemy prepares aircraft for flights, carries out their current maintenance, and repair.
What the General Staff reported
According to the General Staff, on the night of June 27, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, struck the "Marinovka" airfield in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation.

According to preliminary information, four units of enemy aviation equipment were hit, namely Su-34 aircraft, and the technical-operational part - the place where maintenance and repair of various combat aircraft take place.
"In the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation, they are classified as frontline fighter-bombers. They are used, in particular, for dropping guided aerial bombs, including those with gliding and correction modules (GCM)," notes the General Staff.
What the Special Operations Forces say
The military reported that they eliminated a group of frontline fighter-bombers Su-34 at the "Marinovka" airfield in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation.
"According to preliminary information, four units of enemy aviation equipment were destroyed, namely Su-34 aircraft, and the technical-operational part - the place where maintenance and repair of various combat aircraft take place," the military said.
