The MFA shared details of the bus accident involving Ukrainians in Romania

As a result of a bus accident in northeastern Romania on Monday morning, a Ukrainian citizen was injured and provided with necessary assistance.

This was reported to journalists by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry confirmed that near the Romanian city of Bacău, there was a traffic accident involving a bus of a Ukrainian carrier, which had 60 Ukrainian citizens on board, and a Romanian minibus.

As a result of the collision, a Romanian citizen was killed, and three others sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity, among them was one Ukrainian woman.

"The injured Ukrainian citizen was provided with medical assistance on the spot and did not require hospitalization," added the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

They noted that Romanian law enforcement authorities have initiated a criminal investigation into the accident, and the Ukrainian bus drivers were questioned as witnesses. The carrier later provided another bus, with which the Ukrainians continued their journey.
