The situation at the front: Defence forces are holding back the enemy’s onslaught in the Pokrovsk region

Since the beginning of the day, July 1, 2025, as of this moment, there have been 48 combat engagements at the front.

Strikes on the territory of Ukraine

Today, border communities with Russia suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including localities of Khrinivka in Chernihiv region; Hirky, Doroshivka, Bratenytsia, Starykove, Kucheriivka, Myropilske in Sumy region; additionally, the enemy shelled Velyka Pysarivka with rocket artillery and carried out airstrikes with GAB bombs on Andriyivka, Varachyne, Krovne, and Kindrativka in Sumy region.

Situation in the North

Seven out of eight enemy attacks were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the battle is currently ongoing.

The enemy also carried out 8 airstrikes, dropping 19 GAB bombs, and conducted 156 shellings, one of which was with rocket artillery.

Situation in Kharkiv region

As noted, in the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the occupiers attacked our defenders’ positions five times near Vovchansk, Zelene, and Milove; our fighters are giving a worthy response, and two combat engagements are ongoing. The enemy conducted airstrikes with GAB bombs on the locality of Vilkhuvatka.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked six times in the areas of Radkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and towards Novoosynove; one combat engagement is currently ongoing.

Situation in the East

According to the General Staff, in the Lyman direction, the invading army conducted six attacks on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Kopanky, Novyi Mir, Serednie, Zelena Dolyna, Kolodyazi, and Myrne; two combat engagements are still ongoing. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the defense and inflicting losses on the enemy.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy attacked towards Hryhorivka and Vyimka. Since the beginning of the day, our soldiers have repelled two assault actions by enemy units, and the battle is currently ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy stormed the Defence Forces’ positions near the locality of Chasiv Yar. Our defenders halted the enemy’s offensive action.

In the Toretsk direction, since the beginning of the day, there was one combat engagement in the area of Leonidivka.

"In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders made 12 attempts to displace our defenders from occupied positions near the localities of Myrne, Popiv Yar, Koptyeve, Lysyivka, Novoserhiivka, and Oleksiivka. The Defense Forces are holding back the pressure and repelled eight enemy attacks; four combat engagements are ongoing. The enemy delivered airstrikes with unguided missiles on Sukhyi Yar," the report states.

Situation in the South

The General Staff also reports that in the Novopavlivka direction, there were five enemy attacks in the areas of Piddubne, Vesele, Maliivka, and Shevchenko - one combat engagement is ongoing. The enemy’s aviation struck with unguided missiles on Olhivske, and the locality of Filiia suffered from a GAB bomb attack.

Defence Forces are holding back the occupiers’ attack in the area of Kamyanske in the Orikhiv direction. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the area of Novodanylivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the invaders conducted an airstrike on Olhivka.

In other directions, there were no significant changes in the situation.
