The Russian Federation has begun using the Mariupol port to transport military equipment

For the first time, the occupiers used the port of Mariupol to deliver military equipment.

This information was provided by the head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, Petro Andryushchenko.

According to available information, from 22:30 to 05:00, the Russians completely closed traffic on Primorsky Boulevard and Lunin Avenue to Lunin Square from both sides. The occupiers allowed civilians to pass only with registration and residence permits.

Andryushchenko notes that during this period, armored vehicles, including BMPs and tanks, were removed from the port area using military and "civilian" transporters. Presumably, they were sent towards the Zaporizhzhya region.

"This is the first documented case of the complete use of the port for military purposes throughout the occupation. The Russians are changing logistics due to the challenges they faced in the Zaporizhzhia region. Now, the significance of the Berdyansk port will decrease, but the role of the Mariupol port from a military perspective will increase," he added.
