The AFU showcased the work of drone-interceptor pilots from the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade

Ukrainian pilots of the UAV interception platoon of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery division of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign destroyed 25 diverse Russian UAVs. Among them were rare "Kub-2" and Supercam, as well as the commonly used Zala and "Lancet." Meanwhile, all this expensive invader exotica is destroyed by our defenders with ordinary cheap FPV drones.

This was reported by the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Day and night, our warriors do everything possible to counter Russian aerial terror, they noted.

"Also among the destroyed are real airborne Frankensteins - "Molniya-2" with an anti-tank mine held together with duct tape. It looks funny, but if this error of nature reaches its target – it will cause trouble. That’s why we first shoot it down and then we smile," said the pilots of the 28th Brigade.

The warriors know that their work saves dozens of lives every day.

"Hard nights, like tonight, once again prove that Russian drones cannot be shot down with angry comments on social media. But with an FPV drone, you can. And although the level of piloting of our warriors seems unattainable, each of our masters also started from scratch," shared our warriors.

The 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign is a regular structure of the Ground Forces in the Operational Command "South". The honorary name – in honor of the raid actions of the army of the Ukrainian People’s Republic (at the beginning of the last century) behind the lines of the Red and Volunteer Armies under the leadership of Mykhaylo Omelyanovych-Pavlenko.

The 28th Brigade has been at war since 2014, and its soldiers, jointly with other units, successfully repelled attacks on Donetsk Airport.

In November 2022, the brigade participated in battles on the Kherson direction and the liberation of the right bank of the Kherson region. In December of that year, the 28th Brigade began performing combat missions on the Bakhmut direction.
