The SES received the first domestically produced firefighting robot

Ukrainian rescuers received the first domestically produced firefighting robot. This compact device, named "Zmiy" (Serpent), is a ground drone capable not only of extinguishing fires but also of transporting equipment and functioning as a tugboat.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine showcased the "Zmiy" in photos and videos published on their Telegram channel on July 5. The robotic complex was donated to the SES units on a charitable basis.

Rescuers underwent training and tested the machine in action. The NRC (Ground Robotic Complex) can be used in particularly hazardous areas where there are mines; for extinguishing warehouses of explosive items, and more.

The payload capacity of the "Zmiy" is 500 kilograms. "However, it can carry even more. It can also be used in combination with a trailer, providing additional useful load," stated Bohdan, a representative of the manufacturing company.

The robot is capable of overcoming obstacles, directing water streams, towing equipment, delivering supplies, and more.

"The firefighting robot will significantly enhance safety for the personnel and improve efficiency during emergency response. We thank our partners for their important and necessary support!" conveyed the gratitude from the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
